COLLECTIONS Courtney Davis
Over the years there have been many paintings created that never got to go as illustrations in my books. Some were for different projects that may or may not have come to fruition and others from various card collections I have had published at various times. This book only skims the surface of the catalogue of imagery that fill my shelves and rarely see the light of day, so don’t be surprised if the art blinks at the light when you turn the page. I created collections that include, nature, spiritual, Viking, sacred sites, beasts, Merlin and Arthur.

AN AWAKENING JOURNEY Courtney Davis

Through 35 years of creating art and publishing more than 50 books, Courtney Davis has never shared the mystical inspirations and influences that guided his journey and his work. Until now.

AN AWAKENING JOURNEY chronicles Courtney's experiences with the Universal, Beloved, and Merlin energies that transformed his life and his art. Painting by painting, this is the story of the turbulent periods in his life and the spiritual transmissions, the dramatic cosmic resets, that enhanced the vibrancy and potency of his art. Through sharing his journey, he offers a deeply personal and intimate perspective on ancient wisdoms, new awakenings, and profound spirit connections. From Courtney's artistic soul there shines a bright light in the pages of this book.

ANCIENT ECHOES Courtney Davis & Treasa Kerrigan is a series of thirteen paintings based on the Gods and Goddesses of the Tuath Dé, (the magical, mythical race now known as the Sidhe, the Bright and Shining Ones, the Ever Living Ones, or the Faery folk) and their connection with the sacred sites of Ireland.

This connection still lives on in the stories, myths and legends passed on from generation to generation for thousands of years and in the energy of the sacred landscape, the places of power where these Gods and Goddesses once lived.

Courtney Davis has received his inspiration for these paintings through meditation and through his journeys around Ireland to the sacred sites portrayed and is delighted to have the opportunity to share his vision of ancient Ireland with you, through this series of paintings.

THE LAST BATTLE OF MOYTURA Sean Fitzgerald is an Irish artist living in a remote area of the North West of the country, surrounded by nature and ancient places. Not far from his home, there are many legendary places such as Tory Island, the misty island inhabited by Balor, lord of the Fomorians, thought to be the original race to have inhabited Ireland. A few miles away there is Dun Luiche, the spot where the Sun god, Lugh Lamfhada, built his fort, and Gleann Neimhe, the 'poisonous glen', where according to the same legends Lugh placed Balor's wounded head after his killing. These places and his passion for folklore and Irish mythology inspired the artist to jump in a long research to track down the vestiges of those events in the modern place names.  Published by Hill Of Tara Press 2019
